Apparently it's NOT PJ day at school.

Did I mention that Will dressed up Holly for "church" in his shirt? Buttoned himself.

Holly rearranging ornaments:)

Will as the underwear bandit. I swear I didn't know about this until I saw it for myself.

Oh and don't forget how the kids took the See's box upstairs and had a choc-o-fest:)

So Danika and I were very excited about her pajama day. Her teacher sent a note home letting parents know that the kids were to wear their pajamas and bring their favorite stuffed toy. They would also get to have a pancake breakfast with their class! How fun. Well guess what. I was SO excited that I sent her off in her cute panda pajamas TODAY. Check the calendar. Pajama day is TOMORROW. Poop.

Let's talk about Holly. She has quite a little temper sometimes, but also a cute sense of humor. The other day she reached up to get her toothbrush and looked as if she was going to brush her horse's teeth. I went to do something and Will yelled, "Holly has her diaper off!" So I found her in the hallway, laughing, and brushing away. Not her horse's teeth. Her bum.

My new funny

I heard this on the Food Network and really I am posting it so I never, ever forget it!

"I practice safe sandwich. I always use a condiment."

Fighting Kids

I know it can be irritating when the kids whine and fight with each other, but sometimes it can make for some great times. I think I noticed this when Danika and Will were 2 and 3. Danika was throwing one of her colossal tantrums, and nothing I did could make her stop. Will, Mr. Sweet and Quiet, walked over to her and spit his water all over her head. She was doused. And she stopped. What a smart boy. She ended up laughing. We ended up laughing. How can you not? This morning we had a similar situation while the toothbrushing was going on. As I checked Facebook for any amazing updates, I heard Danika with one of her "I am in charge of you, Will. I am older" yells, and a squeal from Will. As usual, Will ran to me and Danika hid out. His shirt was wet. Maybe he dribbled a bit. No. As he did the cutest Will frown, I almost couldn't hold back as I saw his wet face and hair. "Danika spit her water all over me, Mommy." So I realized that sometimes it's great when they fight because I get a good laugh!
Other times they are inseparable. They get together and give Holly a spin on this chair we have, go to the bathroom together to show each other their prized trophies:), and sometimes even share! The best thing they do is play together in their made-up world. Often, Danika is the princess, Will the prince, and Holly the royal dog. They pretend to get married and we all pet Holly as she does her best royal dog bark. Other times they go shopping, go to work, or do the usual mommy and daddy.
Having three kids in less than three years was so hard (I didn't know it would be at the time:) ), but I don't know if they would be as close as they are otherwise. I got so many comments like "Haven't you figured out what causes that yet?" and one I especially loved from a Santa in the St. George mall. I was finally off bedrest and was waiting to be induced, which was not far off. It was right before Christmas and I was with Robert and my father in law. This Santa came up to us and I thought he would do a normal Santa spiel. Not so much. He touched my belly (never do that) and said "Someone's been naughty this year!" I seriously did not know whether to smack him or laugh. I was so embarrassed because that's not something you want to hear with your father in law at your side!

Gingerbread World!

This was my attempt

The kids and I made real gingerbread cookies and they came out SO good. Out of 100 I only ate about 87. They were a perfectly spiced, soft treat. The kids had fun cutting them out, too. A couple weeks later I tried to make a graham cracker house for them to decorate, but I failed miserably. I don't know a stronger way to say it. Robert said it was because I need to learn some basic construction rules. So he set out to make the graham cracker castle the kids wanted and his final product was amazing. The kids got to put candy on it, all the while Will asked me over and over if it was really their house to decorate. I kept having to tell him, yes, it is really yours.

So much to love

We had an early Thanksgiving with my parents, which was awesome. They helped me get things organized and we had some nice meals together. And, of course, we had hot chocolate and pancakes at the Silver Cafe. The Historic Silver Cafe. My parents go there each time they come. Funny that I live here and only go when they come. But it made me feel all warm and fuzzy. My parents taught the kids about cleaning better than I have been able to, and I learned a few things myself.

I Know How To Do This!

So the day before Halloween we went to St. George and decided to go to the dollar theater to check out G-Force (not super exciting) and then to Texas Roadhouse. We figured we could share and thereby actually eat somewhere fun. It's just that by the time we've spent the gas money to go to the city and back, we usually don't do the restaurant thing. It's almost 4 hours of driving, you know. That restaurant was tons 'o Texas fun. Peanuts to keep the kids busy, that AMAZING cinnamon butter to keep me busy, and just a hoot-tootin' time. This nice woman came by and was passing out coupons to Staheli Farms--where they have a corn maze. So Robert suggested that we go, which we did, and it was a blast. Of course I had no camera, but you can imagine. Let's paint a picture.

Sun going down, we get in line for our tickets. The kids find a haystack with pumpkins on it to jump on, and Holly is happily playing in the dirt...getting dirty. Boogers plus St. George dirt at a corn maze=sticky oozy dirt. Well little did I know that we got to take what I told the kids was a hayride over to the maze. There was no hay, silly me. It was a tractor deal. It was super fun, but no hay. So we got off at the maze and boy, were our kids excited! Danika and Will set out together, and Danika told everyone how she was the leader. Will got ahead of him and she really had a fit. She stopped and stomped her foot and yelled to him that she was the leader and said, "I am good at this! I know how to do this, Will!" They found our way out and we got to go on that nifty tractor again.

Guess. What. It's not over. We really got to go on a real HAY ride! That's to get out to the pumpkin patch. You get to go past all the cows and donkeys. Did you know they kept cows and a few donkeys together? Hmmmm. I thought. Weird. So the kids picked out pumpkins and we put one back because we couldn't handle 3 massive pumpkins plus a Holly. They didn't know that part. Shh.

Well Halloween came around and Robert was sick, so I got the kids ready and we went to their annual school carnival. We mosied and I forced them to play games because we bought tickets:) Then we did the really fun stuff. We hooked up with some friends and went around Pioche. I had Christmas music on. Ha ha. But I always do. Hey. I have quite the variety. Some you couldn't even recognize as holiday-ish. So don't go nuts. We really had a good time.

I'm still here.

I don't really have anything to say. Danika can tell the TALLEST tales, Will can whine the loudest, not scream (that's Danika), and Holly can kiss the most. That sounds weird, but she loves to come to me and say "Mommy, kiss," and then she'll say "Nooooo," and then she'll grab my face and go crazy. I know in a couple years Holly will be just as hooligan as the others, but right now it's nice to have one that's not there yet:) Oh. Sassy's got the best hair. Yes, even surpassing me. It's so soft and amazing. And Robert is good at being Robert, which is too many things to say.
